Shameful fucking way to go out of football. I was rooting for the Italians and I'm glad they won.

I love Zidane and I still do. All great football players have had a shameful outburst or two, he was unlucky to fly off the handle in his last game. Plus he was kicked by that same guy without the refs calling anything before. I'm not saying what he did was right, but try playing for 110 minutes with a guy constantly shit talking you, shoving you, holding and kicking you and try to stay cool. Zidane was a man who grew up in a tough neighborhood and make something of himself. He is one of the best football players of our time, made and held together a legendary team, and had glittering career. I still applaud him for all his accomplishments.

"unlucky"?!

what the fuck did luck have to do with it?

good or not, it was classless and stupid

I would say deffending your sick mother is far from classless. He insulted his mother 3 times and even then he still didn't use his hands or legs. As for luck, it does have something to do with it, because had this happened at any other time in his career they wouldn't be considering the removal of his golden ball.

I hardly think headbutting someone for saying something is anything but classless. I definitely don't consider that "defending" someone.

Sticks and stones, dude.

dude that's the point, sticks and stone can only break my bones but words can really hurt me. If I was playing for 110 minutes pretty much none stop (hahah doubt that will happen anytime soon) and this guy kept harassing me, grabbing my nipple, kicking me, then starts repeatedly calling my mother a terrorist whore I would punch him, then spit on him. You probably disagree but that's why we're different people.

I'm not even saying that I wouldn't. But it doesn't justify it.

Honestly, if the dude even tweaked my nipple I would probably elbow him in the throat.

Real class means not resorting to physical violence...at least in my opinion.

Well all that tells me is that you're a real man and would defend your honor. The question of Class brings up a whole other debate, what is class, and why should someone care if something is classy or not. Having hands under the table at dinner is classless, but only because 100 years ago they were afraid of someone hiding a gun under there.
Now like you said hitting someone in the game could be considered classless, but then not defending your honor could be something that diminishes your class. Let's just remember that the people who started the concept of class in Europe were a bunch of people that would duel for each others life at the mere mention of someone dishonoring them.
